The US choppers attacked a Syrian village near the Iraqi border last week. The raid killed eight people. According to CNN, the US targeted a network of Al-Qaeda fighters. Like in football, the best defense is an offense; but it is difficult to say if the operation was a success. According to the Syrian government this attack killed eight innocent people.

Here in the US, many people are speculating as to the reason for the action. Some people think that the Bush administration did it to influence the US election in John McCain‘s favor. No matter what the reasons are, as the Forros of Sao Tome and Principe say, “Behind mountains are hidden mountains.”
