On Meet The Press, John McCain surprised me. When asked by Tom Brokaw about his campaign losing ground in some states known as “red states”and issues that matter the most to the American people, McCain said that “victory is guaranteed.” He also said he doesn’t believe in polls.
Of course, he cannot admit that he is behind. He would send the wrong message to his supporters. As the Bakuni of Congo say, “The chief of the village never admits seeing the devil.”
