The McCain campaign is in a serious position of losing the coming elections. According to the latest CNN polls, in some of the states known traditionally as pro-Republican red states that were won easily by President Bush in 2004, John McCain is losing ground, forcing him and his running mate to campaign hard, flying between states to hold the South. The Senator from Illinois, Barack Obama, is making significant gains in Republican strongholds.

It seems that the house is on fire. The McCain campaign is trying to figure out where to focus and spend more money. As the Bayaka of Congo say, “The hawk spends its day flying when the forest is on fire.”
