According to the Houston Chronicle, Richard Garriott, the 47-year old son of former NASA Skylab astronaut Owen Garriott paid the Russians $30 million to become the world’s sixth space tourist since 2001. Wow! At a time when the economy is so bad, poverty around the world is increasing, and people are living on less than a dollar a day, Mr Garriott has such money to burn. Wow! I guess nobody can blame him for spending his own money that way. He truly has the same passion as his father. As the Wolof of Senegal say, “A descendant of a monkey is nothing else than a monkey.”
