The American Senate just passed the bailout bill. The new version of the bill is certainly a better version compared to the first bill that failed. But time will tell. Should we give credit to the Senators? Or should we take it as they voted the bill through because they were under pressure. The good thing is that they were able to come together even though they had differences. As the Mbochi of the equatorial forest of Congo say, “If ants gather, they can lift an elephant.”
