The saga of Sarah Palin continues. After giving three interviews, the general impression is that she is beingĀ  “coached” by the McCain campaign about how to answer questions. Recently, her interview with Katie Couric showed John McCain sitting close to her. It is difficult to tell if the McCain campaign has fear that, left alone, she will not be able to face tough questions or will contradict the campaign’s message.

Everybody agrees that she is not in her shoes. She is very uncomfortable in her new role as V.P. , which makes her role in the McCain campaign very difficult. The McCain strategy of keeping her away from the press is not helpful. As the Bambara of Mali say, “The bee that is forced into the hive will not produce honey.”
