The financial crisis in the United States is taking all the headlines in the news. The situation is grave. Almost every day one giant financial institution collapses, putting Wall Street in distress. By suspending his campaign “to show” to the American people his leadership, John McCain once again is trying to pull all the attention from the real issue. Once again we didn’t hear a specific proposition from his campaign. It is clear that any mistake from his presidential opponent will be an opportunity for his campaign. Senator Barack Obama should be careful and pick carefully his words about this complex bailout bill. As the Batekes of Congo say, “Words are like water: once poured on the ground, you can’t take it back.”
