Italy agreed to pay US$5 billion to Lybia as reparations for colonization.
I don’t believe in this kind of “cooperation”… It’s more a “paternalist attitude”. Italians know that Lybia has enormous resources. They will pay Lybia $5 billion… and get twice, maybe triple, their “investment”. Why do you think that Italians are going to give Lybia such an amount of money if they can’t collect their own garbage? As the Bayakas of Congo say, “Give someone something with the right hand, take it back with the left hand.”
